Once you have created the table, you can edit the columns. The Rich Text Editor allows inserting and deleting columns.

1.  Inserting a Column

Follow the steps below to insert a column:

  1. Place the cursor where you want the column to be inserted.

  2. Right-click inside the column for the context menu to appear.

  3. Select “Insert Column to the Left” and the new column will be inserted to the left of the cursor or “Insert Column to the Right” and the new column will appear to the right of the cursor.
    You may also select the “Insert Column to the Left” /upload/sdn5/end user/authoring content 5.3/content editor/insert_column2.png or “Insert Column to the Right” buttons /upload/sdn5/end user/authoring content 5.3/content editor/insert_column3.png  from the “Table Wizard” dialog.

2.  Deleting a Column

To delete a column place the cursor to the column to be removed and select the “Delete Column” button /upload/sdn5/end user/authoring content 5.3/content editor/delete_column.png from the “Table Wizard” dialog. Alternatively, you may right-click the column to be removed for the context menu to appear and select “Delete Column” from the menu.

Note: All content available in the column will also be deleted.
